All thirteen of us piled into Scott's pickup truck and rode out to Dry Falls Lake. As it turned out part of the way was a rutted, bumpy dirt road. Not much fun for the ones in back! We also seemed to go at the hottest part of the day. Tegwyn found a cool spot under the truck to cool off while Judson went right for something cold to drink. The rest of us explored a bit. The Dry Falls was an actual waterfall about 10,000 years ago. It is the largest waterfall known to exist, measuring 3.5 miles of sheer cliffs and a 400 foot drop. By comparison Niagara Falls is one mile wide and a 165 foot drop. Below is just a portion of the falls. This was such an amazing sight!!
